running rough... fuel problems??

When mine went out I took a peace of wire 6" long, stripped 3/4" off each end, twisted the ends and pushed them into the plug ends. Mine had burned up and I did that to get me home.

If your fuel pressure is good, it could be an injector clogging. Running a couple of cans of fuel injector cleaner through it wont hurt. I had some similar problems a coule of years ago and the injector cleaner eventually cleared it up. I now put a can in every three fill ups.

Fuel pressure tested perfect. Mechanic says its a sensor. Any suggestions? MAP, EGR, TPS? The whole alphabet I guess.

They only had the canister filter... Your eyes are working OK.

No your eyes are not working good. I have an 1986 2.9 ranger and I can tell you the they have two filters. You can also call napa or any other auto parts store and they will have a listing for two. Please do not post things that are incorrect. We are trying to help people here not screw tham up???
