running bad

my ranger has been running bad for a while its 94 2.3 4cly. so i did a compresion test it reads 120 on #1 and 75 0n #2 AND 75 ON#3 and 120 on #4 is this a head gasket? i whent ahead and did spark plugs and wires it didnt help any sugestions what it is.

Is it smoking at all, and if so is it white?

not smoking and it was getting compresion in the raiadtor and not running hot no water in oil took off radiator a day after it was ran and water rushed out over the top. took head gasket off today the gasket was blew between the two middle clys. and it looks like it maybe in the water jacket on the other side of the head. it was just running really bad.

should i take the head to the machine shop or just get new gasket and put it together it didn't run hot.
