that's pretty slick, i didnt realize they flipped up with the press of a button. good idea man, i'd buy one if i had a truck

Thanks guys im glad you like them...

Last weekend they where manual flip up.

88_eddie thies can be made to go on the front of a roof rack too, thats what ill be doing fo my '87 BII and my dad's sport-trak.

Thats pretty badass man! What did you use for an actuator?

That went from "just plain cool" to "holy crap that is the single greatest light bar ever!"

I hear a patent coming up, and a business beginning on ebay? Maybe lights that turn on when they popup, like a pressure switch mounted to be activated when the light bar is at full rise. Whatever your gonna do, you better do it fast and start making some bank.

Pitch it to the jeep guys, they buy anything (likemikey from the cereal commercial) LOL.

:headbang:
**** yeah.
I want one. The pine barrens wreak havoc on my lights, constantly replacing them even when I don't use them. The bombardment of branches breaks the filaments.

i must say that is coolest roof light bar ive ever seen! now that everyone wants one do you plan on makin/sellin them

I think I might, but there are about 1,600 diffrent combos. w/ lights, w/o lights, single cab, ext. cab, 55w HID, 100w halagen, power flip, manual flip, 2-3-4-5-6-7 lights, raw, finished, black, color matched, chrome.

If I do this, I think it best to go by custom orders.

But I would want to wait, so I can work out any bugs that may come up.

And thank you guys for your suport on my project.

Dont wait for bugs, LOL sell a few at half cost for R&D. NO profit kinda thing, or let some TRSers test em out for ya and give you realtime fedback. There are alot options but you could offer two basic models flip up and manual with 55w lights. Or just sell the motorized kits and the purchaser puts hte lights of his or her own choice. It would have basic wiring, but the finish wiring is up to the purchaser. Kind alike they do the lambo doors. They sell a kit and installation is up to the purchaser. That way buyer can use 55w or 100w or two of each. Longer wiring or shorter wiring, they can do relays if they want or straight toggle switch. Biggest thing is you need to put a paten through. Search the web to see if anyone has done it yet and then have a patent attorney work on your patent while you sell "test models"

Heck I'd do a little extreme arctic testing for ya:D

I'm going to put a rack on the '93 and that would be fantastic. Flip them down when the basket is one and up when it's off.
