Rockwell 2.5 Tons

get off of this damn forum... you're ruining it for us guys that care about rangers... and btw, why would you spell "blue" with a "y" that will instantly turn you into a window licker, dumbass

This should all be obvious but...If this is your first 4x4 ever than I suggest you slow down just a bit. Figure out exactly what you want to accomplish with your money, time, truck etc. Do some reading...books, service manuals, tech info, build threads, articles, etc. Google search. If you know someone that builds monster trucks, then he should be able to point you in the right direction. Building a Ford Ranger or any vehicle for that matter with big horsepower and Rockwell axles requires first a well thought out plan for your end goal, fabrication skills, tools and a clear understanding of how to properly set up a suspension system that will properly work for the type of driving you will do and terrain the vehicle will see. Do your own research first and then if there are specific questions you have about your project post up, and people will be much more likely to respond with a productive technical discussion. Just my two pennies.

Man im def subscribed, I cant wait to see duct tape, bubble gum, and wire tires holding these axles!

The truck should be named Mcgyver

That is what i was trying to tell him on FB months ago!
Go back and read the conversation i posted.

Im not sure whats going on with him, but its annoying as hell.

this is epic. i want pict"y"res so bad i can taste it.

While you're at it, dont forget the extra 5 foot of exhaust pipe to make a heavy duty driveshaft.

I'll start thinking small THEN Work my way up to a monster truck. Im going to go a head a fix up my Dana 28 Ford 7.5 with a lock rite locker for D28 And Detroit Locker for the rear same with 4.10 ratios with 29 inch Thornbirds mounted on 15x10 Cragar's.Then eventually work my way to Dana 35 Ford 8.8 with Detroit Lockers and 4.88 ratios with 33 inch Boggers on 15x12 wheels with a 4 inch lift kit.

Dont waste your time building a 7.5 & D28. Spend the money on the D35/8.8 and then build them. Also, a 29" tire needs a 7 or 8" wide wheel where as the 33s only need a 10" wide wheel.

although I have run 33"s on an 8" inch wide rim with no issues.

Yeah, I know, I read it already. Guess he didnt take your advice either.
TRS has been good to me, even when I was a newb. Of course I wasnt asking questions about building something as badass as a Hemi-bigblock Ford either.:D Oh well, some people have to build the really SICK rigs that make the rest of us .................

Like this one, I especially like the jack stands:thefinger:

Good god... that is not a real build. Please tell me it isnt.

He must have either put that ford tech badge there and its not true... or he lives near me.. bahaha

We have all turned a wrench or two on a Ford, so I guess we all deserve to have the Ford Technician badge.

But only a select few know much about the Hemi 572 Ford engines.
