Right Rear tire wearing very aggressively

What kind of pressure are you running in them?

come on guys , it is the rear tire , he has an open carrier and the tire is over inflated

Some of you guys post just to see your selves and your rambling.

I had a similar prob on my sister's 97 Ex AWD, weird outter tire wear. Turned out to be the shackel was broken - or mostly broken.

Also had the problem on my 89 B2 - the front spring hanger/perch is rotted through and twisting.

This:
Can't really see much detail in those pics...

What I can see looks like the normal wear that occurs when you don't rotate the tires often enough...
Your right rear tire tends to wear slightly faster than the left due to the weight shift that occurs from the driveshaft torque twisting against the axle housing while accelerating (especially if you have a standard open differential). The tire also has a little more wear in the center because the rear is so lightweight.

I'm thinking you just need to rotate them more often.

The right rear will wear more because it gets most of the power when you have an open differential. Rotate the tires every 3000 to 5000 miles. When I had Rangers I would run 35 psi in the front tires and 30 psi in the rears and they wore evenly with that.

Last i checked i have been running 32-35 psi in the tires all the way around, evenly.

should I air it down a tad

Maybe... But no less than 30 PSI. You don't want it to wear even faster that it already is, even if it does wear more even.

What you SHOULD to do is rotate them more often.

Move the rear tires straight up to the front, cross your front tires over when putting them on the rear.

Even with radial tires? B/c the BFG AT K/Os i have are radial. Dont the belts get seated in their normal direction of rotation? Won't that mess the tires up?

Switch to FIRESTONE DESTINATION M/T or A/T and let FIRESTONE rotate and balance your tires FREE every 5000 miles -there are no problems, only opportunities :D you have open diff and maybe inflation issues

Maybe on radial tires made waaay back in the '60s or '70s that might happen... But certainly not on any tire made within the last couple decades.
Most (if not all) tire manufacturers currently recommend switching the tires around so every tire has a chance to spend a certain amount of time at each corner of the vehicle to keep the treadwear even.

The right rear tire wears faster because it has less weight on it during acceleration. Less weight means more deflection of the tire's tread blocks on the pavement, increasing it's rate of wear. The amount of power (more specifically, torque) to both sides with an open diff will always be split 50/50% regardless.
