Well I picked up a 2002 Ranger Stepside Stupid-Cab 2WD with a 3.0L V6 Auto for my daily driver. I've had a Ranger once before back in 87 and then an Explorer Sport and a Sport Trac. I have a Mustang resto-mod project ongoing for some time now. I'm converting a mostly rust-free 65 6 cyl to a V8 289 and using our V8 donor car for parts. Also I go to a lot of garage sales and estate sales to upgrade my selection of tools and I put up my extras for sale. I've been a regular over at the Garage Journal and Vintage Mustang Forum for a number of years. I sought you guys out to help with working on my Ranger and get some ideas for upgrades and also info on my planned upgrades. So that's it in a nutshell! Thanks, Rick

Welcome Rick! Hope you enjoy the site and find what you need. Nice looking project Mustang you got there. I didn't catch what rear end you are using but I know a lot of the early Mustangers are using the Ranger/Explorer rear ends now. It's and easy and cheap up grade. I'm doing about the same thing as you but with a '66' Ranchero. Been collecting some old tools/screw jacks from the '20's and restoring them as display pieces.

Thanks! I'm using the stock rear end from the donor car. I have to update the site. I've already installed the rear axle with a set of 1 inch lowering springs. Got the ride height looking right. I have the front clip off now and working on stripping off the suspension components. I'm planning to install a disc brake setup for the front.
