So the retaining clip that holds my hydraulic line in the slave disappeared..

Any tricks for replacing? None of the local yards have the same style. Its the clip that looks like a brake line clip

Does it look like this:

or this:

1992 should have the first style but I suppose it could have been updated. If it's the internal cage style clip like in the first pic... you just need to find a donor slave cylinder to steal it out of.

2nd style, you could maybe use a zip tie or mechanics wire in a pinch, but you really need the correct clip. I think this was discussed before here - the clip isn't sold separately from the slave cylinder, but someone here might have a spare, or you could pony up and buy a new slave... then you'd have a spare for next time...

On the first style, you should be able to buy a pack of various size replacements in the Help section of your local auto parts store.

Its more like the 2nd except it came with a plastic one. In checking out another local yard today. Hoping it has it because I don't have a way to salt lake without the truck to check the other yards :/

Yeah it was like that but bigger. Anyways I went to a different yard today and was able to find a metal one that works.
Now to bleed it :/
