respect for jeepers

a 6 mile walk is better than a little girls dad not coming home.

taking someones keys and abandoning them is Actually a criminal offense in many states. You should have called the sheriff and turned the keys over to them or taken him home.

I hate drunk drivers also...that is why I would have held them for the cops....hence my statement.....I turned in my brother for drunk driving in AZ

I would never turn in family for drunk driving..... I might have a talk with them... but if you get down to it, my brother could shoot somone and I'd help him burry the body.

I'm not a fan of drinking and driving, I used to love to drink, and I love to drive..... but the two didn't mingle after I had 3 or more.

I picked up a guy that hung up his truck one night and brought him home and let him sleep it off in a spare bedroom........ karma's a b!tch if your an a$$ to everybody that's not as good as you, so I have been in hard times before and try to lend a hand up when I can.

I dont have a problem with it, Id rather have a live walking Brother than a dead one. I guess Frank is 2 faced one for everyone else but him and his family

Gotta take care of Home-Base first...

If i told my brother to put the keys down.... he'd do it. I wouldn't let him get into a position that I needed to call the law (a record screws up a lot of chances in life). And it doesn't hurt that we were both raised not to drink and drive.....

I don't even drink anymore, I kept forgetting I live in town now and would stumble out to the mailbox in socks and a cowboy hat on saturday mornings.

Some times taking care of someone is to make the stand on their own

I wasn't too worried about a drunk driver that just wrecked his rig calling the law because I took his keys, besides he knew that was gonna happen, I told him beforehand, and he said that was fine.
Another thing, no cell service to call the sheriff, and even if there had been, I wouldnt have wanted to wait around all night for them to get there. And taking him home, no.

Possibly saving someone's life and even others is pretty darn good karma in my book.
A six mile walk up and down a mountain gives ya some pretty good time to think about how idiotic of a move you made, rather than ruining his life cause he got arrested, lost his license, cant drive to get to work, not get a job, etc...

Not offended whatsoever, and dont get me wrong I hate them too, and I let this guy know it.
My grandmother was killed by a drunk driver, and I thought about what she would have said to me, and it would have been, "do what you think is right"
To me, what I did was right, and hopefully I've changed this guy's life in a positive way

where're i'm from, it's very rare for it to get below 45 during the winter, even at night. he had a sweatshirt, so he had all he needed, and he was a smoker, so if he were to find himself not able to stay warm, he could have made himself a fire

According to you he was totally drunk....People die each year in AZ deserts from hypothermia and being drunk brings down your resistance to cold. What if he passed out?
