replacing fan clutch

Mine siezed up.
Do I just buy the new fan clutch or is there a kit to do it?
 
Just buy a new fan clutch.
Like $35 bucks

Depending on your engine, you may need a fan clutch tool. They run about $15.

You can always use it, but on some engines (e.g., 4.0L OHVs), you really need it because of lack of room. Make sure you get the threads right. Some are left hand threaded.
 
I had trouble with removing the clutch while the pump was on the motor. I took off the shroud, and removed the pump and clutch, welded the impeller to the housing and stuck it in a vise. Don't remember if it was R or L thread
(93 4L), but it was easier for me to do this way.
