The replacement PCV valves that I am seeing appear to have two openings, whereas the current (original?) one I have only has one. Do I just plug the top opening of the new one? I see that the new one comes with what appears to be a plug.

Juat get a vaccum cap and cap off the extra port

Yes, they come with a cap to close the smaller port, this is normal, the smaller port can be used as a vacuum source if needed, it will not effect PCV Valve performance if used

Most replacement radiators have transmission coolers as well now, just leave plugs in it if you have a manual trans

Easier to make and stock a "universal" PCV Valve, and some needed 2 vacuum ports so......................
