OK, I sort of see where you are coming from but what do you call the stock speakers?
this even though has a second cone to amplify the voice part of the speaker is considered by many as a single ( single range or multi range, which is where the confusion is coming in) , Not single range as you are implying the the unit only produces, say, 1 Khz sound constantly. In this case all car speakers are multi range, no matter if it is a single to a 4 way, each speaker is able to handle multiple frequency's.
