Replaced Lock Cylinder still same problem

My igniton wont stay in position. it doesnt stay in the on position it rolls right out.
I replaced the lock cylinder/ key ignition and still the same problem.
wont stay in position, wondering why?
Any suggestions

the lock cylinder moves a little pinion gear that drives a linear gear that actually operates the switch.

This is "advanced stuff" to dig inside the inner guts of a steering column.

My honest advice? get a complete junkyard steering column and replace the whole damned thing.

^^yup. maybe possibly add tilt wheel to a non-tilt truck too while you're at it.
