While checking vaccuum lines, I managed to break one of the plastic ones. I've never dealt with these plastic lines before. Will any auto place have replacements or are these a special fit?

replace with rubber vacuum line. any auto parts store will have it in stock (make sure its VACUUM line not FUEL line). those hard plastic lines ford used suck. they get hard and brittle from engine heat and break easily.

I think I got more than a few I may end up replacing. The line I broke looks like it goes from the passenger side of the intake (by the throttle body) to the cannister that`s below the air box. I think there`s a bunch of lines there I`m going to replace. I noticed there`s no suction from the one that`s on my EGR (looks like it`s going ot the same box, or in that area), so that might be part of my problem too.

id replace any lines in question with regular rubber (or silicone if you want to get really fancy) vacuum line. if you need various "T"s and reducers those can all be purchased at any auto parts store as well. just take an inventory of everything youll need so you only need to make one trip.

your EGR valve will not have vacuum going to it at idle.
