hey guys, im getting a 97 cab ready for my prerunner build. I'm completely stripping everything and will be building a simple dash off of the roll cage. I dont like getting into something without information so my question is what do I have to do to remove the dash, bolts, screws, clips? explain it to me like i am a 2 year old if you can. I would like to be able to go to the garage knowing what I have to do instead of spending hours of looking for that last bolt that is preventing a dash from comming out, you all know that bolt, the one that brings out every four letter work you know and some you didnt know. Any help is appreciated.

open drivers door remove the 2 bolts, open drivers door remove one bolt. pull lower panel under steering wheel, unplug wires, In firewall clip my have to go under the hood. remove the plastic piece near the windshield on to of dash remove those 2 bolts. your dash is now read to be removed. I also recommend that you remove the steering column, 2 bolts and 3 wires clips and the bolt that lock the shaft together, and please disconnect the battery at least 30 minutes before because you will be taking the airbags out and disconnecting them

thanks for the info, some things I left out the cab is off the truck and sitting on a pallet, It has no doors and the front rad support and fender supports are removed from the firewall the only thing in the cab I am keeping is the gas and brake pedels. I am replacing the steering column, dash and seats with offroad racing parts.

great then you can skip the first step or opening the door:)
