1998 4x4 with 3.0L and 4r44e. The transmission needs to be pulled out and rebuilt. It no longer shifts into the forward gears and is leaking fluid from the passenger side.
Is it possible to remove a transmission without having to pull the torsion bar crossmember out?
I'm not looking forward to what else will have to be disassembled to get the torsion bars out. I'm on a limited amount of time and hope to have this pulled out as fast as possible next week.
