hy guys, i was thinking about regearing my truck, its a 99 2.5 5spd, i have the 7.5" with 3.73 axle, and im gonna look for the 4.10 gears
so what are the exact parts that i need for this??
also pictures of each part would be great
from which ranger/explorer models i must look for parts, i need the year from the trucks that came with 4.10 so i can start diggin it, the engine that cames mated to this gears and the tranny, does the 4.10 work in the 7.5" diff??
thanks a lot:icon_thumby:

i think is better to swap the hole axle, right?? what axle i need, for thsi, so i dont have issues about the RABS...
thanks!!

You need a 7.5" rear from any 1993 or newer Ranger.

RABS was standard before the 1993's but the earlier axles are 2" narrower.

If you really want 4.10's I'd seriously consider looking for a 8.8" axle,
not because they are stronger, but because they are easier to work
on... particularly for stuff like replacing limited slip clutches and such...

And you probably want limited slip...

my cousin has a parted ranger, its a 94 v6 4.0 2wd, long bed, can i find the 8.8" in this truck,im gonna ask him and see if we swap axles cuz hes planning to install a diesel engine on it
thanks

His truck should have the 8.8 axle in it, but the gears most likely wont be 4.10 so you'll still have to get new ones.

oo, well im gonna place this in my long term list...lol! did a deep analisys and i dont really need it, im keeping the tires in the normal size a,d not going to make it off road machine, so i wont be taking full advantage of it
