Bought my 94 4x4 used, and it came with a Reese hitch out back. Looks to be bolted to the frame with several bolts, anyone know what class this hitch is?

I don't tow much, but I would like to use it for recovery.

I'm also wondering where you guys get those hitches that have a clevis on the end and slide into the standard 2" receivers, anyplace to get one on the cheap?

If it's a 2" receiver it's probably a class III, unless there's some spots where it looks really chincy. Plenty strong for anything a Ranger can dish out.

You could ask around some shops that do fabricating for a 10" chunk or so that will slide in there, buy a clevis and just drill holes for stuff.

Sweet, found one here for $20:

Its only rated for 10,000lbs though, I'll want something more durable if I'll be using it for vehicle recovery + recovery strap, right?

You won't even come close to that 10,000 (5 tons) that is rated too. You'll pull the hitch off before you reach that. That hitch is more that likely rated at a 5,000 pound pull and a 500 pound tongue weight.
