I want to replace the shocks on my 4x2 Ranger. It has the Fabtech "Ultimate" lift kit, which lifts the truck 5.5" in front (combination 3" spindles and 2 1/2" coil springs) and 4" in rear (combination add-a-leaf and 2" lift-blocks). I do most of my driving on-road but would like something that will allow reasonable ride and control when I do take the truck on some trails. Oh, and I don't want to spend $100+ for the Bilstein 5100s, or some other higher-end shock! Any suggestions? I was looking at either the Pro Comp ES9000 or ES3000 pieces, each of which sell for ~35 dollars a-peice at Summit Racing. Does anyone have any experience with these shocks? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

your fabtech shocks and procomp shocks a nearly the same shock.your typical genric lift shock.

had a pair of es3000 on the front of my jeep, they rode like shit.very choppy(felt like I was back im my 67 cougar with airshocks pumped all up).made cracks feel like holes, and pot holes feel like curbs.
