I think that guy might be a real viking.
That would be pretty easy to weld up. I don't really like it though, just because I don't like the extension. Sometimes I put my skidsteer across the front of my trailer and I don't know how an extention like that loads up things when you have a lot of tongue weight--looks like a lot of extra leverage acting against the receiver. Also, when I winch things onto the trailer--like large metal things with their wheels off or logs, there's often a lot of pull on the line. I would rather not pull on a hitchball like that--which you would be doing if you used that contraption. That and the cable is running along side the trailer jack. When the line gets to one side of the drum it's going to push on that jack pretty hard. And it won't spool back up correctly. If all all you do is haul wheeled vehicles, then it looks good.
And I'm not backing my truck onto plastic ramps to load it.
