My eclipse has a red line of 7000, but I've shifted over 8000 rpm before....

Point being, while the OHV engine is not made to rev high, with the correct cam to allow sufficient air in the combustion chamber, it can rev over 5000 rpm and pull hard. Tell that to this guy, who happens to be a member on this board.....

Thats almost like saying because the speedometer is "clocked for", or more accurately said "only goes up to" 85 mph, thats all the faster it will go...

i was meaning more of it limits me to like 4800-5000 not that i don't push it further but the fact that i cant lol it all the fun stops at 4800-5000 on an auto tranny comp iirc
