Rebuild help??

So my transmission is going out on my 96 ranger with a 4.0 automatic transmission and an auto T-case. So first off I need help Identifying what transmission I have? Second what do I need to rebuild it and wheres the best place to order it? Third is it even worth the time to do it yourself or is it better to have a transmission shop do it?

It's probably a 5R55E and since i dont know what kinda skills you have i would say take it to a shop and since you dont live in south west Missouri i couldnt tell you where to order parts.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass im just being truthful
