Hey all

I was curious if anyone has a 2.3 liter lima rebuild step by step guide?
my truck is a 93

Finding a 2.3 is not gonna happen for any resoanable price and so im thinking ill just rebuild mine. However, I have never rebuilt an engine...so i was curious as to if there is a step by step guide or video siries that someone could point me towards.

Or if anyone knows of a Engine rebuild shop in louisville KY or surronding area to rebuild for resoanable price. $1500 - 1800 for someone to rebuild

There's bound to be rebuild videos on youtube for a Lima of some form, the only thing special on a '93 is the crank sensor but it's not too hard...

I'm way far away, there's probably someone close that could do it for that... Depending on why you want the engine rebuilt and how many miles are on it and such depends on how much work it will take, if it's just because it's a '93 and leaking and stuff new bearings and rings with a hone is doable for a DIYer with minimal special tools... I'd run though stuff but not right now, my keyboard is being cranky...

i had the clutch done at a less then reputable shop..since then it has a noise and was originally told it spun a rod, then i was told it needed a new transmission.
but im suspious that the trans is fine and that the idiot that did the clutch most likely damaged the crank, becuse he was haveing issues with the pilot bearing.
around here no shop want to rebuild it, it seems they just wanna do a swap. Problem is finding a low mileage engine is unheard of and JASPER wants $3700 to rebuild the one i have. so i figure since i really cant trust any of these shops anymore and someone on here mentioned it as something " not too hard" i figured id try my hand at rebuilding. I am thinking of new head rather then machining mine, from what i hear the valvle seats can be an issue if the right person does it wrong.
