rearend swap questions??

thanks guys, you all talked me into it...i just hope i dont hate the high rpms at highway speeds ..lol...1 more question .. my truck has 215/70/r15 tires, will that along with the 3.73 make my speedo read way off and will the tires make a even higher rpm or lower..

the bigger the tire, the more your rpm will go down. its the same as going to a numerically higher gear ratio, like going from a 3;73 to a 3;55 gear ratio. so the bigger tires will help your rpm some. as far as your speedo, the gear ratio wont throw it off. but the tire size will slightly. about 5mph. nothing serious. enjoy the swap

a differant gear ratio will of course throw your speedo out just as a differant tire size will, the cure for the gear swap is to remove the plastic speedometer drive gears from the 3.73 donor vehicle transmission and swap em

well i can do that but im not at all sure how to or even where it is
