Installation

1. If the stationary glass is to be replaced, apply Silicone Lubricant C0AZ-19553-AA (ESR-M13P4-A) or equivalent to the window weatherstrip and track.

2. Spread the frame slightly and slide the glass into place in the frame.

NOTE:
Do not allow the weatherstrip to bunch.

NOTE:
Green Soap ESB-M1B9-A or equivalent, diluted 10 to 1 with water, may be used to facilitate installation of weatherstrips and mouldings.

3. Position division bar in frame. Install the lower retaining screw.

4. Spread frame slightly and install the movable glass in its track.

5. Position the anchor plate in the window track. Install the two retaining screws.

6. Install the division bar upper retaining screws.

7. Position the weatherstrip to the window frame.

8. Install a draw cord all around the weatherstrip in the flange crevice, allowing the cord to overlap at the bottom center of the glass.

9. Position the glass and the weatherstrip to the window opening. With an assistant applying hand pressure from outside the cab, pull the weatherstrip lip over the window opening flange with a draw cord.

10. Pull the weatherstrip over the lower flange, pulling one end of the cord at a time. Then, pull the seal over the side flanges and upper flange.

I know I have seen the topic of rear window interchange come up at least once over the years, with nobody have a definitive answer. Well I was having rear window issues, and another member, gpmiller, has a 2000 he is parting out, so we got out the tape measure the other weekend and looked at some stuff any well, here is a picture of my 87 cab with his 2000 rear slider installed. This means rear windows can interchange at least between 86 and 2000 for the super cabs.

Are you looking for a solid peice of glass or a slider window? I have the solid glass from a 89 stx. And I was thinking about switching my slider out on my 90, since I am not a fan of sliders. But I would let that solid glass go.

That's good to know. Who doesn't want a slider?!

My '99 has the pop-vent side windows above the jump seats...not a great option.

What's the issue with the side pop-outs? Was thinking about adding them to my 4-door.

The rivets through the glass egg out, the seals don't stay sealed after so many years, and overall they are of limited utility as they can be hard to reach to open and close unless you are in the back seat.

Alright then. I guess I won't be adding those to the project list.

I've not had any issues with my side popout window I just never use them. They aren't practical. You can't use them as a pass through. Dog can't stick their nose out even.

That's the main problem. In my F150, though, the dog has to be back there because I haven't installed a switch to disable the passenger side front window button and she stands on that button. If I Open the rear slider and side popout, she's pretty happy in the back seat.

i just changed my rear slider from my 2000 to my 1998 extended cab ,the 98 was marked up bad ,they both bolt in .
