Rear Tires Lock at 60mph...

ya got yourself a blown rear end! nice! your gonna need a flush and gears or a new axle.

93 and up will work for you. 92 and under are 2 inches less wide. (i have a 92 axle in my 06)

You guys realize that some of these 4 bangers came with 185/75R14 tires right? That's about the size that are on my tiny Saturn SL. Even 3.55 will have some pep with that size of tire. With 4.10 gears that 4 banger will be screaming. He'll be turning almost 3,100RPM at 70mph, IN OVERDRIVE.

I'm not even turning that much running 4.56's with a 235/75R15. And I geared mine pretty damn steep because I tow a lot.

He didn't list a tire size, and seemed relatively satisfied with it's performance as is. So, he probably shouldn't wander too far from stock.

Tires are indeed 14's. I've got 15 studded for winter driving, and notice quite a bit of difference when I put them on. Truck bogs down easier and doesn't accelerate as quickly. Realistically though, if I valued performance that much, I'd either mod the truck or buy something faster. Truck's pretty good the way it is.

I've looked around briefly for a complete axle. Local junk yard has rear axles, without brake components or shocks included in the price, for about 60 bucks. I'll take a drive down and see if they've got what I need.

Thanks again
