i had a quick question for a rear suspension lift. i currently have a 3-4in lift on my 2002 Ranger that use blocks for the rear. i am wanting to get rid of the blocks and use a more stock set up (shakles and springs). i read where i can use the 2" drop shakles for a full size Chevy and Explorer leaf springs to get the 4" lift i want but im wondering if there is a certain year i should use or will any shakle and spring from say 2000-2003 work? the front im not worried about right now cause im planning a solid axle swap.

'91-'01 Explorer 4dr. leaf springs.

BellTech 6400 shackles for '88-'98 Chevrolet C1500.

What kind of block came in your 4 inch kit? A small block to stack, or one large 4 or 5 inch block to replace the factory one?

You do realize that with a 4" lift in the front, you don't need a full 4" lift for the rear. You need only 2" of lift to level the truck.

I would get a set of Skyjacker FR34 lifted leaf springs. If you remove the block, it will give you 2" of lift over stock which is what you need for a 4" front lift. The Skyjacker leaf springs ride and flex VERY well; I loved mine on my Ranger.

it was a small block that went on top of the factory block, so like a 2 in block. no i actually didnt know that mjones thanks for the heads up, thatll save me some money and time.
