rear sliding window leak

napa or local body shop supply. You can get it on amazon .com

Ok well i went to o railys and they have a weatherstrip in three different sizes that will work and also they say i need some window adhesive stuff. But is it better to go with the butyl tape?

Yes just the tape. Make sure you clean both surfaces well, remove old tape/residue, before applying the tape and putting the window back in or I guarantee it will leak again.

Yesterday we had a lot of driving rain here in Wisconsin and my rear sliding window leaked real bad (more than it had in the past and its not the brake light) and I think its time to replace the butyl tape. I have an extended cab and understand this is what the factory used.

Does anyone know what size (diameter) tape is best? Amazon sells the 3M Windo-Weld brand in 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" sizes. I'm thinking 5/16" would work, but I want to check with you guys and see what anyone else had used.
