BTW make sure the radiator cap is the highest point in the system. Had a friend whose truck overheated because there was a serious bubble in the system somewhere(rear radiator). simonsays probably has some more pointers about that though.
Good point, that can defiantly cause some issues. I would also recommend putting it far enough back that u pull the air in from above the cab. (basically above or behind the axle, not in front of it)
I would suggest using a Ford Taurus fan, sounds weird I know but it actually pushes about 2x as much air as a normal hayden fan plus they can be picked up at a junkyard for like 20bucks.
