Rear Leaf Springs


Start spraying those bolts now. More than likely they will be rusty when you try to take them out. You might even need a little heat when you are doing it. A regular propane torch should work.

Also, I concur, the job is not that difficult and you could do them yourself. You will also need new bushings. Were they quoted in the price?
 
I concur, it's not that hard. They can be cumbersome and a bitch to get positioned but it's not too bad. Definitely spray them with PB Blaster or something. I don't know if you'll need bushings, but they were a PITA for me to replace. I just took my leafs off to paint and replace the shackles and hangers and when I put them back on they were pretty flat, so I regret not swapping them for Exploder leafs. I don't tow or haul much though so it's less of an issue.
