help this old man on how do i read the tag on my broncos rear end to find out what gears it has, found a rear end out of a 02 explorer for a 100 bucks with limited slip 3.73 gears to put under my 98 b 2
 
Look at the bottom numbers...The first numbers are the axle size, your would be 75, the next three will be your ratio. If you have a letter in between the ratio, like 3L73, this means you have a limited slip axle...if its just the numbers, then its open :icon_thumby:

bottom numbers are the bolt then 3 45 75 8 g19 and its an 89 not a 98 b2
 
It's a 3.45 open diff, 7.5 axle. Unfortunately the 3.45 is exclusive to the 7.5, so you will have to change the front ratio to a 3.73 to match ratios for 4X4.
