Rear differential

Hello guys I have a ranger 2000 4x4 3.0 and my rear differential is going bad, my question is, What size is my differential is it a 7.5 or a 8.8? It does not have the tag. I know is a 4:10 gear ratio. I would appreciate an answer. Thanks

More than likely it is an 8.8 with 4x4.

There's a lip going across the bottom of the pumpkin. On a 7.5 is very narrow--like 3/4". On an 8.8, it's wide, like about 2". You can easily tell by looking at that lip.
