Rear brake light confusion.

Yes, I am confused.
Brake quit working. Every thing else works. Reverse, 4way, driving.
Changed out the switch. Nothing. Jumped the plug, no problem.

Ok, so we played with it for awhile. Eliminating each component as we put it back together. When we removed the bushin, the brake lights worked. Put the bushing back in, no lights.
What the ?

Which bushing is this again?

It's the bushing that interfaces between the master cylinder rod and the break pedal.
