"Rear Anti Lock" light

I got a 1990 Bronco that the "rear antilock" light is constantly on. The only part of my truck that I know anything about is the engine so I'm in foreign territory. What could cause this to turn on? Any suggestions so I can fix it?

There is a Rear ABS sensor on the pumpkin of the rear axle housing. Check the connection to make sure its tight.

On the drivers side frame next to the engine there was a ABS Sending unit (at least there was on my 94 Ranger). My problem was when I changed my oil, it would drip a tiny bit from the oil filter as I fished it out. After cleaning the plug up and making sure it was tight, the light went off.

BTW, I believe the Chilton manual may explain how to blink a code out to tell you exactly what the problem is, but I may be wrong. Best of luck!

I dont know if this will help but my Ranger had the same thing happen. Drove around a while with it on and my brakes started to feel spongy after a few days. I walked out to my truck after work and noticed i had brake fluid leaking down the inside of my rear tire. got looking closer and noticed it was coming from the brake cylinder inside the brake drum. when the brake cylinders wear out over time they develop a leak. Its an easy and cheap fix just make sure you use a lot of brake cleaner to get all the brake fluid off the brake shoes and drum.
