That's the maximum that tire can be inflated to without being damaged. Unless you are running a full load all day long there is no need for that much pressure. You will get a smoother ride, better traction, and longer tire life running your pressure between 32-35 psi.
Seriously, ANOTHER mpg thread? Blackwidow, you've been around here a long time, I would've thought you knew how to use the search button by now.
i hate when people give me a link and it goes to the seach page.
seriously. were asking a question. i hate when people give me a link and it goes to the seach page. each person has a different truck. different use. different applications and different issues. the seach button cant narrow down to what we need help with or are asking about. someone may call it a propeller shaft(old term) os driveshaft(new term) so cool it.
and i get 16 usual but have gotten 21 before and that was a mix of highway with city. also my tires are bigger so my fuel mileage calculations are wrong. so im guessing on average its closer to 18 not 16
Oh, so you are lazy. We get it.
There are only about 6,000,000,000,000,000,000 threads on the 4.0's MPG on here. It has been sufficiently covered.
There are SEVERAL threads about gas mileage where people list which engine, gears, transmission, tires, etc they have. More than enough to draw conclusions and to find out what to expect for mileage. I've never owned a 4 cylinder or 3.0 Ranger, and even I know what kind of mileage they get just from reading all the mpg threads on this site. I really don't understand why so many people care about what other people are getting for mileage anyway.
