RBV-46 Dodge

Decided to relax in the shop after a hard day at work, hell, a hard week.

Wired in the gauges and put in the ignition & headlight switch. Also used the 67-72 chevy ignition badge.

Man, I can't wait to see this finished.

Jim O..................

If T Hilde gets it completed and road-ready by the October dead-line.............

He'll be ahead of me !!!!

(I still haven't put the headliner material in mine yet!)

:bawling:

Do it in shag.

Do it in shag.

Why didn't I think of that?!?!

Now back to the 46 Dodge build.......

I still amazed at how much is getting done on the truck......

there be TWO old weird vehicles at TRS now----

One on/off-road and one street-truck!

:yahoo:

Had to replace the axle joints since they were rusted solid. What a mess! When the budget allows I'll have to get manual lock outs, don't think the automatics are working very well.

Dropped off the old glass to get new pieces cut and had them back in 6 hours.

Pressure is on now, Jim is watching me.

I finally found the correct hinge pin for the passenger door. It is threaded on the bottom, thanks to Vintage Powerwagons for repopping this piece. So the mirror went on the right side.

Got the glass back last week and the gaskets showed up today. Got the rear window back in. It is green tint. The AD in the back of the shop.

Also did a front brake job.

Wasn't feeling the rear bumper
So I found a way to use the old Ranger bumper.

Been doing dinky things and marking things off the build list. Some just aren't photo worthy. Got the windshield frame back blasted and primed. Gave it a coat of black and next will fit the glass.

Over the weekend I decided to paint the center of the steering wheel. Used leftover wheel paint from the trailer project.

Flashback......I was driving my streetrod '41 Dodge P/U one day when a "pop-noise" and a puff of smoke came from the gauges........

I looked down and there was a little singed chicken feather inside the glass lense of the Amp gauge :icon_rofl:

Go figure!

I've been working. Dad bought a car trailer to haul his tractors to the farm show and I'm helping get that spruced up and brakes on his WD Allis Chalmers (they're a 8!+ch).

Aren't those pins so handy to get out after 60-70 years? :icon_rofl:

Nice G and very nice Ranger/Dodge project, it will be nice when you get it done. :icon_thumby:

Looking good! You and doorgunner need to get together for a photo shoot when you get it finished

That could be a trip. I think St Louis would be in the middle?

Update time.
The windshield is back from the glass shop, forgot picture, I put it in hiding.

Got a deal on some Warn lock outs.

Warmed up the shifter and tried to make it less 80's looking.
