You know when you pull the seatbelt all the way out and it ratchets back in to lock things in place like kids car seats or bulky items... when did they start putting those in a Ranger?

I think my 88 had retractable belts.

I think my 88 had retractable belts.

My '85's retract, I would like to replace them with newer as mine are lazy to retract anyway. I actually already have a NOS drivers side belt to put in. I have to use a clip to bind up the passenger seatbelt to put a kid carseat over there which was a mild PITA with one kid, with two kids it will be a major PITA to switch back and forth.

However more modern vehicles you can lock the seatbelt up to strap things in the seat. I used it in my old Plymouth laser hauling my computer to college, pull the seatbelt all the way and as it retracts it rachets to hold whatever is in the seat.

If possible it would be nice to upgrade to that.

You should just worry about getting Oliver's truck to squat...

Apparently not enough...

I think the rear springs are tired after having that fiberglass topper in the back forever. I actually got Ron a set of helper springs for Christmas last year to level it out when loaded because his headlights were terrible when he was following me from it squatting. Looking at pics its pretty much level when unloaded.
