rare valve cover?

how can you tell its a 2.0 by looking at it? i imagine its an after market cam because it has roller rocker arms to. it ran good till the 4 barrels opened up :annoyed: its going to get a 2 barrel put back on

They didnt produce the 2.3's for the pintos and my dad had an 88 ranger with a carbed 2.0 the 2.3 wasnt carbed and dont get rid of the 4bbl just tune it to perform

actually, the 2.3 WAS carbed, for a number of years.

i was going to say. when i look up in hollender at work 2.3 and a 6 cylinder were the only options for the 77 pinto. i believe they stopped the 2.0 in 75 or 76. i am not even sure this motor belonged to the pinto because of the way the dip stick was. is there any other way i can determine which on it is?

also i want to run a holley 350 2 barrel. this 4 barrel is way to big no matter how you jet it. if i decide to keep the 4 barrel i will go with a 390 cfm or somthing small.
