ive heard that a single cab, short box, 4x4 ranger, with a 4.0 and a manual transmission is somewhat rare... just trying to find closure to these rumors... if anyone knows its you guys... thanks

I was wondering the source as well. I've seen quite a few of them.

The Ranger I was going to look at was a 4x4 Edge with the 4.0 auto reg cab and short bed, never seen another one like it.

There's a ton of 3.0 auto's around here. Regular cabs, supercabs, 2wd, 4wd, or any variation. But they're pretty much all 3.0 auto.

Almost all of the rangers around me are 2.3 2wd SC/SB, or 4.0 Ext Cab 4x4 autos. My inventory control manager has a 2.3L ext cab long bed.... So Jelly.... I really want to find a 2.3 SC/SB 4x4 5 speed 4x4 though.......
