i have a 95 ranger with axle code 96. according to the trs axle code page it says i have a 8.8" 3.73. i was wondering what other year ranger or explorer axle will work with my truck?

Direct bolt in same width and everything would be '93 or newer Ranger for a bolt in. If you want to do some modification an Explorer axle isn't too hard to swap in just need get the spring pads on top of the axle (either get a flip kit which is a no weld solution or weld some pads on, or move your old ones...), weld on some shock mounts, and if you get a disc brake axle ('95 or newer Explorer until they went independent rear suspension) you'll need to do some brake line modifications (get two passenger side hoses that go to the calipers then add two new nuts into the hard line to use the stock Ranger center hose)
