so you know how big rigs, motorcycles and jeeps all wave to eachother passing down the road. me my brother and a few of our friends who have rangers have been trying to get rangers to do it. theres a lot where i live. i think we are going to need more people to help out with this one. we think its a cool idea

It's been mentioned here before, it just doesn't catch on.

The Ranger has been the best selling truck in it's class almost every year out of the past 20. There's lots of them on the road, and I just don't think the Ranger club is exclusive enough to warrant a mandatory member wave.

I see a lot of Rangers here...mostly that stock stupid look...who wants a stock looking Ranger???.....lol just kidding!!

I have never seen any Ranger driver give me the wave. I get the wave from other lifted truck and Jeeps!!! I see a few girls driving Ford F series with lifts and they always wave to me!!!!

around here the bronco2's most wave or nod at each other. but there's not to many to be seen. so i guess its just a point we have the same vehicle. Not many young people around that ive seen with the b2.

People wave at me.....but with 1 finger....I know when they wave at my truck...they use they thumb or two fingers or all five fingers.....girls use 10 fingers-but that's cause they girls & they use-to driving with they knees....

This same thought crossed my mind, too....being used to the "Jeep wave" as the owner of a CJ-7. And, as many can verify, once you get a certain type of vehicle, they seem to be everywhere. Since getting my Ranger, I see them all over town. But the "wave" most likely won't catch on with them. Not sure if it's an exclusivity-related thing or not, because there's a large population of open-top-style Jeeps here as well.

I think the Corvette wave is the most popular, sadly you guys didn't bring it up. Personally, I wouldn't wave to random people, then they start getting ideas that we're friends.

It's actually an unofficial "rule of the road" in the majority of Texas......especially in the more outlying areas, on smaller roads. Just the way things are.

I know, it's part of the "drive friendly" thing.. People f-cked with me a lot less when I lived in TX than they do here in IL.

Yeah, the state even has signs posted that say "Drive Friendly"....usually on the back of those foldable signs that warn drivers about ice on overpasses.

I was south of Austin in San Marcos. I worked in Austin though. Here, commute is a regular thing. But down there, no one could understand a 30-40 min drive to work. But then they were jealous of my $500/month rent payment too. Hahaha

I live in town here, and it takes me 20 minutes to get across town to my job. I used to work in Austin, and for about 9 months had a 90-mile drive to and from work......lived in Lometa, northwest of Austin up 183. Then moved to Temple, which is still a good hour's drive each way.

In town where? I thought you lived in IA.. I was always making my commute during rush hour, 7a-3p everyday. I did get pretty good at timing traffic and jumping on and off the expressway at opportunistic times.

Yeah, I'm in Des Moines now. 7.5 miles across town to work; takes about 20 minutes at 35mph. I could get on I-35 and go that way, but it's actually the same amount of time cuz I have to drive several miles to get to the interstate.
