Well the causes for the death wobble were: The steering stabilizer had a soft spot when the steering was centered. it had pressure when compressing and depressing but right where the steering is centered u could push or pull it easily almost an inch.
Also the truck joints we used to hold the arms to the frame where loose.
That was causing a lot of noise and play.
Rebuilt them and its tight and working properly.

We also corrected the tire angle, relocated the coil bases on the axle so the coils sit aligned on the coil buckets, taking off a lot of noise from there too.
All new u joints on driveaxles, new bearings and seals on the T case, new seals on the steering box. Also the custom made output shaft on the T case was taken to the machine shop and redid it, because it was unbalanced.

The CAD is also installed, i just need to run some vacuum lines and find a place for the valve under the dash. Im running with the axle engagaed for now.
Even engaged it has zero vibrations now.
Feels like a brand new truck, and I love it!! :yahoo:

Caant remember but were you running a CAD axle/setup before? If not hopefully your CAD setup is getting oil to it by the axle seal being on after it on the axle and not in the diff. like non CAD setups are like.

Yes it is a CAD axle.
the seals are new as well.
My previous CAD was shot, thats why i got another one.
This one works great, i just need to do the connections.

Il always carry a wrench to engane it manually in case it fails

Im starting to have the snorkel itch... :D

I was bored and found some leftovers from the LED stripe I ha put under the tailgate, so...

I cutted it in sections to fit it inside each reflective chamber and wired it.
I still have the cargo lights working fine, i just removed the stop light bulb.

damn rsh. its been a while since i've been on here. looks fantastic. how do you like the SAS

Thanks Ravo!!

well i have encountered another issue...

I climbed a few mole hills, then the axle was acting strange, the front wheels where dragging, but it had no traction to climb. I disengaged the axle as a precaution, and the shaft sleeve wasn't fully locked. Maybe it wasn't engaged properly and that was affecting it. I'll drive it a few days like this, just to feel the difference and check it up later
I hope I don't need to use 4WD lol.

Will try to engage th axle today and see what happens...

Replaced the leaf spring bushings yesterday, no more squeaks at all!! feels like a brand new truck!

As for the CAD, seems like the shaft collar is not engaging properly because the axle shafts aren't leveled since the axle is a bit warped, thats why the CAD cannot move it properly.

So we left it engaged and this time it will be permanent, until i find an axle housding thats not warped in a super dirty cheap price.

Since that was pretty much it on the mechanic department, i decided to fab an antenna mount. Since I will not drill the hood, heres the new antenna location :D
