Ranger Pricing and Online Build Released

For a few years now I have been perfectly comfortable pulling 250 and up trucks in and out of tight spots, but have felt the F-150s to be too large.

Agreed. I expect a 250 to be large. We drove them for Grounds department for the state. 5.4 gassets. The 150 seemed a little cumbersome where the 250 just bulky

A base 4x4 starts at $28,460, according to the Jalopnik link

Will be interested to see the tweaks once it’s released once again, but having played with it a bit while the site was up I’ve got some pondering to do. One option requires getting a nicer Ranger than I initially planned... the other requires much more patience in hopes I could get an epically better Ranger than I’d planned; if ever stateside.

Pricing is also not supposed to be correct.

It added up scary fast IMO.

Base Xl, 4wd is a couple grand, STX was a couple grand, FX4 was a couple more wham bam $35k here we come.

Kinda steep for a rubber floored midsize truck.

Hopefully pricing is high, we shall see in a week.

What surprised me was that the regular cab was (listed as) available, in any configuration at all.

As most articles suggest, it's probably fleet only.

The base 4x4 pricing is around 40 bucks less than a base Colorado 4x4

If regular cab will be available in fleets, then in a couple of years they should be available through auction or fleet sales. Right?

Sure it isn't ;) According to what the company rep said. That price is almost the same as a Colorado WT 4x4 w/ no options, so I think it's accurate.

Regarding the Regular cab, the ford rep said there will be NO regular cap -we don't know for sure if that means no reg cab for public sales, or for anyone at all.

Pricing is laughable on this just as I expected. I'm better off getting a 4x4 regular cab f-150 with 8 ft bed. I can put a tool box in the back for extra storage and it can be sported up pretty cheaply and easily. Either that or a nice used ranger. Definitely not getting this one.

I'd be surprised if the pricing isn't correct. Why would the web developers take the time to populate a pricing matrix that is just garbage?

Anyways, what I really like is how you can spec an e-locker for $420 bucks on any trim. Combine that with the fact that all North American Ranger will be the same ride height regardless of drivetrain and you can build a pretty capable truck for under $30k and not have to waste gas turning driveshafts that won't be used 90% of the time.

GROSS. For that price just get an F150 for about $1k more. Unless your looking specifically for a smaller truck, theres no value here unfortunately.

I must be missing something in these prices.

2018 F150 XL 4x4 Supercrew with 2.7 and payload/tow package is a mid 42,200 MSRP without any incentives.

That's as bare bones a work truck as you can get. No carpet, no sync, no bucket seats, just 4 wheel drive and a payload package.

If I'm reading posts on Ranger5G forums that's in mid optioned Lariat range for the Ranger.

FWIW the 3.3 is the base engine on a 150, like it or not the price spread is significant between similar optioned trucks though.

And I wouldn’t consider the Ranger pricing final until the site launches for real next week.

The only reason I went with the 2.7 is because it comes with the 10 speed and as far as I know the 3.3 only comes with the 6 speed.

The 3.5TT and 5.0 also come with the 10 speed so … why the measly lil 2.7TT ?
