Yes, I've seen 2 cars online, and then of course have seen the damage of when a dumbass roommate of mine wanted to try and drift his stock '93 Ext. Cab 3.0L 2WD. Completely FUBAR-ed his radius arm and spindle after hitting a small boulder in the dirt road.
There is a guy over on R-F that knows the in & outs of making track/ auto-x rangers. Basically drop it for CoG, huge front & rear sways for body roll, mondo good brakes, stripping for weight purposes, gas tanks reallocation, and SPRINGS & DAMPERS.
I don't think I've known anyone on here that has been successful with a drifter. Desert rangers and jumpers, yes. Cornering monsters, no.
But you can drift almost anything with the right amount of time, money, patience, and driving skill. I went ot a D1 compeition and have seen a dude throw an STi sideways...The 1/4 ton p/u would be tricky since they are light in the ass...
Are you actually serious about building one, or simply curiosity?
