Anyways as most of you know, im new to the forums, just got a 2000 ranger xlt last week and im already upgrading the audio. Anyways my question is does anybody know if the cd/cassette player from my 2000 ranger fit in a 96 ranger??? Im asking because im selling it on ebay and i got alot of interest, but im not sure of which years models it will fit. If you got any idea please let me know. I'd say 98 - 06 are the same. Your 96 buyer could buy possibly get a conversion kit @ Wal-Mart.

thats what i told him. haha does anybody know why these ranger stock cd players are worth so much? i took the stock cd player outta my mazda protege5 and sold it for $20. I was on ebay the other day and saw a ranger stock cd player like mine for for $120.

OEM is always worth more than generic aftermarket. Last year I totaled my 2006 F150, which I had installed an aftermarket receiver in two weeks before the accident. The insurance adjuster informed me that the factory stereo is worth more to a car's value than aftermarket gear.
