i tried to search this but had to have 4 letters or more, bear with me im new. i have a buddy w a 2wd ranger and i have a 4x4 ranger will it all boltin? i have heard the BII can got 2wd to 4x4 easily but the Rangers x member may be different, any info greatly appreciated

can you fab? you gonna do alot of cutting and welding not to mention swaping the transmission and transfercase ....... drive shafts.......... and then you have to have the right transmission for the engine, not just any ranger transmission will work behind every engine...... it would be easier to trade trucks.

i have everything except the trans . crossmember, drop brackets, beams, rear blocks, and a matching front and rear dif out of a 90 stx

the front cross member is different on a 4wd than it is on a 2wd...

thanks guys, i do have both whole trucks but stil the removal of the x member is just too much to be fun

if your going to swap motors it not much more work.... sorry the glass was full

but its not a bolt unbolt weekend in the drive way thing.

ya we werent gonna do a motor swap so forget it

sorry to say

Maybe a solid axle swap might be the answer ?
take a different approach and do a straight axke swap. pick up a dana 44 and have some leaf sping mounts weld to the frame. everything you need to know is in here .
good luck
