Rag joint (Steering Coupler)

Thanks for the update, Warrior. I may use your information for my own repair...

Did you have to remove the steering column?

No to the steering column just remove the plastic shroud it just slides off no clips on mine then two bolts. One that holds the top parts steering wheel side and the other side steering box side. It slid right out, had a little trouble getting it back in but with a lot of muscle and one small cut later it was in. If you decide to gut the rivets of make sure to use a cut off disk. Also put it in a vice with rubber jaws when using a punch to pop out the tiny rivet stubs and a big honking hammer.

anyone know the part number for the help brand i bought one and its to big which im geussing its for a fullsize and i already cut and hammered out the rivets no im screwed as of now until i locate one thanks alot
