'02 Ranger "Edge" with double din radio w/ CD player. Radio turns on and has all functions, but no sound. I've read some posts on the 'net that talk about entering a battery code (I do not have literature stating what the code number is) and also a possible issue with the factory amp (if there is one in this truck). Also of note, the battery has been disconnected several times and has just recently gotten a new battery. Any guidance would be appreciated! Thank you very much.

The Ranger is available with the following audio systems:

  1. M100ULC—AM/FM stereo
  2. M100CD — AM/FM with single CD
  3. DM100 — AM/FM with cassette and single CD
  4. CDX6 — AM/FM with six CD in-dash
  5. Tremor 2 Audio Unit

If you have a separate amp, there will be a separate fuse for the amp. That would be an easy thing to check first.

Thank you CH. All fuses have been verified, with the exception of one possibly located on the factory amp itself, which I’m still not sure where it is located.
