atleast the power wasn't pulled from the turn signal switch... or batt+ and acc+ were combined...

No, not pulled from the turn signal....

But my choptop had something like 23 aftermarket lights added and to power them, the previous owner ran wires all over the truck tapping into every hot wire that he came across. I still am finding shorts here and there from that mess.

I'll show you a pic of what i have to work with tomorrow, i swear it's a nightmare, i got everything but the speakers hooked up, i think, so my dad just suggested turning the radio on, and seeing which wires go to what.

how does that sound?
he works on wiring harnesses for a living so i'm fairly confident that he wouldn't try to ruin my radio / get me killed.

honestly all you need to figure out speakers is a AA battery. when you touch the 2 right wires together you'll which speaker it is... connect them. DONE.
