Raceranger's 4x4 Build

Is KOH as big of a shitshow as it looks like this year?
I mean, If you go looking for trouble at 12AM Fr/Sat, sure it got a bit crazy. Otherwise plenty of desert to go play in. It got extra rowdy one of the Friday nights and everyone posted videos of the same fight from 15 different angles making it seem way worse than it was. I was out there again this past weekend in the Bronco and it wasn't anything notable.

Good to hear!

This thing really impressed me this weekend. I always tow it up to the local trails since the main grade is so long/steep and I just assumed this thing would drive terrible and overheat or something. But roads were super icy and they had CHP checking for chains so I decided to just try and drive it up. Cruised up the steepest part of the 4 lane to Shaver at 58-ish mph 3rd gear 4k rpm and temps stayed cool. Roughly 110 mile round trip no problems. Snow was too deep to make it very far up the trail unfortunately. Was cool to see another local straight axle Ranger up there.

That's better snow than I had Saturday, was a super highway annoyingly and when we came up to other people at times you couldn't even cross the ruts because of the snow icing up, I was down to 6psi and still couldn't ease across in low first...

Gotta love the second gen styling! Even kept the Ranger grille, I switched to the Explorer setup just to be different but so did everyone else when I switched :)

So 3 times now I’ve needed to get a tire off the ground mid trail and had to use several high lift jacks to make it happen. Have yet to find a decent way to carry a floor jack, so I’m trying this AGM scissor jack out. Lifts one tire with ease and is super light.

Had some fun this weekend in the Rock Ranger with the fam. Found the limits of the rear driveline lol.

Did that shatter?

well... if that first picture was the spotter.....i am blaming it on the drive shaft.

So as I’ve mentioned, I’m pretty over bashing stuff under this truck and killing drivelines. So here is my solution. 1/4” thick belly plate that will hold one of MitchMade’s billet carrier bearings at the back to make it a 2 piece again. Likely going to put 3/8” UHMW on it as well. At droop it picks up the middle of the driveline about 1ft. The opening is for the atlas to poke through, it will be plated in also once I mock it up.
