well,, i traded it away. he got 6 blocks away and noticed it had no oil pressure so. he left it there and told me to pick it up n junk it n send him da money. so i went i drove it home and as i pulled in and was turnung da key. it threw a rod LMAO!!! ima go try to start it tomorrow. prolly part it out and send him most of the money or junk it and send him all da money.

He cannot legally sell/own a truck at least in IL to my understanding.

Let alone if he sold it with an as-is where-is clause, because he isn't 18, he can't sign any contracts....

if you go to a grocery store and buy a gallon of milk and your under 18, when you whip out the cash that's a contract so that rule don't all ways apply..

my question would be how was the truck title in his name if he was a minor? same contract applied there ....

Just crush the s10. There's no market for parting it out. Just get it over with. Save yourself the time. If you agreed to send him money... Do it. Your word makes you a man even if you are 16. did the other guy get a bill of sale & did you sign a release of interest? If so he could claim that you stole the truck back from him. BE careful on that issue
